“But when faced with the darkest parts of myself, I had to make one incredibly important decision: I had to choose to live.”

About Lauren Stone
In 2018, I was diagnosed with eating disorders and had unknowingly been navigating a world of bipolar disorder for over a decade since. In 2020, my mental health hit rock bottom when I attempted to take my own life. I felt alone in this world. I believed my life wasn’t worth living and that change was impossible. But when I faced the darkest parts of myself, I had to make one incredibly important decision: I had to choose to live.
Since then, I’ve been on the road to recovery and have built a beautiful life with my husband and our dogs, Miles and Potato. However, that doesn’t mean the road hasn’t been filled with bumps along the way.
My work now is dedicated to helping others by sharing stories of grief, healing, and growth while continuing the conversation about mental health through writing, storytelling, and connecting. I’m here to share my personal journey of recovery (read the full story here) and help to break down the stigma and shame associated with mental illness.
But I’m also here to share about joy, love, and all the adventures in between. Jason and I are in the process of building out a 2019 Ram Promaster which we plan on turning into our home on the road and enter into the world of van life (and I can’t wait).
Together, let’s feel what we need to feel, grow from the obstacles in our way, and never forget that we are not alone on this crazy journey we called life. Thank you for trusting me and becoming a part of this community.
I’m so happy you’re here.
